BASED ON NASB AND NIV BIBLE VERSIONS
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;
so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.
--all this passage is telling us is that although some parts may seem more useful than others in the Bible, they are
ALL needed and inspired by God through those who wrote them. By just reading any part of the Bible we learn something we
can put to use in our lives or something that is yet to even happen for generations to come.
Matthew 15:11
(Jesus to a crowd) "It is not what enters into the mouth that defiles the man, but what proceeds out of the mouth, this
defiles the man."
--here Jesus is telling a crowd how we are never judged by our hard works or actions on earth but our
true faith to God while here on earth. God will always forgive us for whatever we do but unless we have some
faith there is no chance for a salvation.
Psalm 56:3
When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You.
--this is an easy passage to understand. When there is no one else that you could count on, one must always remember
that God is always present and with faith and our trust in Him, He will come forth for us.
Titus 1:1-3
Paul, a servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth that
leads to godliness - a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life, which God, who does not lie, promised before
the beginning of time, and at His appointed season He brought His word to light throught the preaching entrusted to me by
the command of God our savior.
--this passage is saying how the apostle Paul was in fact inspired by God and commanded by God to spread God's gospel
for salvation.
Titus 1:10-16
For there are many rebellious people, mere talkers and deceivers,... They must be silenced, because they are ruining
whole households by teaching things that they ought not to teach - and that for the sake of dishonest gain. Even one
of their own prophets has said, "Cretans are always liars, evil brutes, lazy gluttons." This testimony is true.
Therefore, rebuke them sharply, so that they will be in the faith and will pay no attention to Jewish myths OR TO THE COMMANDS
OF THOSE WHO REJECT THE TRUTH. To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe,
nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consciences are corrupted. They claim to know God, but by their
actions they deny Him. They are detestable and unfit for doing anything good.
--Basically in the world today there are many rebellious people who do not believe in God because they refuse to or they
were never exposed to the word. In some cases people may even be confused on their own chosen religious path after being
exposed to too many religions. So these people probably may even claim not to love or know God when in fact they do
and still praise His name as always.
